Last Friday I was a little bored. My sister came over and surprised me with a polish. I felt so bad because she is always asking to use my polishes. I think I will let her have one of mine. She gave me Ice Ice baby from Confetti. I love the blue specks in the polish and since it was storming out here in Cali I thought tonights a great night to polish nails. I never used my Essie Midnight Cami the colors are awesome. I just hate you can't get the full affect from my camera phone. Here is the outcome.

Colorful Spring with J Brand Jeans
I received an email yesterday from Singer22.com regarding the latestet styles on the website that included a wonderful assortment from J Brand. The pick comes from The Rachel Zoe report presents Bright Ideas. These skinnies are pretty cool and the colors are bold and a great pick for spring. The price is about $176 and sizing ranges from 24 to 30. My only concern is for curvy girls like me can we pull these colors off. I'm willing to try it. Would you be willing to try?

Shaunie O'My
Shoe pick of the day comes from Gasoline Glamour. I scream for a pair of these. There is not even a price for these on the website. Let's guess how much these are worth. Here's an idea take an old pair of your pumps and buy some rhinestones from Michael's and glue them on. Hey I might try that.

Ruby Kisses RNP130
Yesterday during my lunch I went to go buy some extensions for my hair and as soon as I walked in this pretty bright green shouted out "Alexis!" My head instantly turned. I had to buy it. I spend so much money on polishes its crazy but its worth it because its satistfying. This polish was really worth the purchase only $1.99. The polish is super thick which I like because you don't need as many coats to see the color as you normally do with neons. There are no streaks the polish color is really striking. I used two coats in the swatches below and finished with Seche Vite top coat of course. This polish puts me in the mind frame of a neon but no its not neon its more of a creme light green. When I purchased the bottle I did not see the name of the color but with some internet researching I found that this color has been called Tropical Green. This color definitely stands out. I thought I would wear it for St. Patricks day tomorrow. I hope you like as much as I do.

Tyra Banks launches new website
While browsing the Internet today I learned of a new website created by Tyra Banks. Tyra is like Wonder Woman. I'm surprised that she has not made the top 5 of Forbes because of all her accomplishments. Her new website is called Type F a fashion and beauty website. Its not like we don't already have tons of beauty websites but this one is pretty unique. I love how simplistic the website is. The site focuses on your individual beauty rather than what celebrity is wearing who. I love that about this site. There is a section called "Look of the Day" that features normal everyday girls. There is also a section of the page that shows you where you can find the pieces the girl from the look of the day is wearing. One aspect of the website I don't like is you seem to find a piece of Tyra one way or another on the website. I feel like she pastes her face whenever and where ever she can. Don't get me wrong I love Trya but I don't need to be reminded that the site was created by her empire. Otherwise, I love all the style advise on hair, makeup, beauty regimes, etc. There is a lot of content to browse and enjoy. Check it out. I definitely give this site a fashion thumbs up.

London Fashion Week AW11
London Fashion Week just wrapped up. I wasn't as excited as I was for New York Fashion Week but it's really great to see inspirations from different parts of the world. I have always wanted to travel to Europe. Although I'm not able to I can hope by viewing the collections from the Europeans. While browsing through Day 1 I started to yawn as most of the pieces seemed pretty boring. Maybe I'm still in the mood for Spring and I'm just not ready for Winter. One designer that stood out to me was from the collection of Sass & Bide. Great colors for winter. There were oranges, neutrals, and prints. Most of the collections from day 1 were involved trends in regards to below the knee skirts, fabric mixes, tailored dresses, wooden heels and pleated skirts. From looking at the photos you can tell that American Style is very different. But this is what I like that there are many interpretations of style. Remember this is only day 1. Can't wait to post the rest. Check out other photos that I selected from the different collections.

Cosmic Fantasy
Are you looking for a bit of stretch? I found a great looking dress at a clothing company based right here in the good old bay area. The company is an online clothing boutique called Nasty Gal. The prices are incredible and the clothes are vintage. Who doesn't love vintage! I fell in love with this dress when I saw it. The material at the neckline is made of mesh with a sweetheart detail. The print on the dress is amazing. The colors are bold and pop out at you. You will definitely turn heads in this number. This dress reminds me of gaseous matter created during "The Big Bang" made from the universe.
